POST CONFERENCE INFORMATION

 

SUMMARY

This Conference was held on February 6th, 2020 in SKEMA Sophia-Antipolis (Just before the Covid-19 Crisis)

This Conference is part of a national PMPD Program (Project Management Professional Day) coordinated by the Academic Relations Domain (Jean-Roch Houllier, Mounir Soudani, Bastien Schilling) and supported by the Cote d’Azur Branch (Jean-Claude Dravet, Olivia Frager, Paulin Kitieu).

Main objective is to share with students the importance of Project Management, by giving them the opportunity to meet PM experts (Project Managers and Human Resources Managers) of several major companies deeply involved in Project Management. 

Workshops, speed recruiting sessions and a keynote speech by Maestro Cindy Egolf have been used yo facilitate these exchanges

WHITE PAPER on Best Practices to organize a PMPD Conference 

In addition to the Conference, the students have also developped a "White Paper" (Cook Book) to collect Best Practices to organize such a Conference, and be able to organize similar one in all PMI France Branches across France in partnership with local/national schools and Companies.

This Conference is the result of a pedagogical project coached by Jean-Claude Dravet, Paulin Kitieu and Layach Allaoua, as part of a Project Management practical application of Project Management Best Practices (Waterfall and Agile). The project has been run by a group of 6 international students (Marion Lacoste, Manon Faucher, Chen Yang, Gyanalipsa Pradhan, Barkha Gupta, Prashant Sengar)  members of the "Business Consulting & Digital Transformation" Master, in SKEMA Business School Sophia, with Corinne Hirzmann as Master Director.

Event & Networking

Are you someone who always had the curiosity to learn and know about projects and project management or always has interest to have career into it? Then, this project management professional day (PMPD) conference is for you.

Methodology and terms like AGILE, SCRUM, CHANGE MANAGEMENT, WATERFALL METHOD, RISK MANAGEMENT will no longer be unfamiliar to you, as these all will be covered in the conference.

Not only this, you will also have an excellent opportunity to meet the PM professionals of the Côte d'Azur and official partners of the event. These professionals will be present to share their experience and their journey through Workshops, Q&A and Speed Recruiting especially designed for you.

Who are we ?

We are M2 students from Business Consulting and Digital Transformation Master in SKEMA Business School, organizing a conference dedicated to Project Management.

Our event is sponsored by the Project Management Institute France (Cote d'Azur) and you will have the opportunity to learn more about the different PMI certifications like CAPM, PMP and job opportunities and particularly the value of project management!

Audience 

This conference is open to anybody interested by Project Management, with a special focus on Students (M2, M1 and L3) willing to better understand how Project Management is practiced inside Companies: from hiring, to daily operation, internal development and professional perspectives.

Conference objectives

Give opportunity to students to meet with PM Professionals from 14 major companies:

  • AIR FRANCE, AMADEUS, ATOS, CAPGEMINI, CREDIT AGRICOLE, IIL France, ITER
  • ORANGE, PLANISWARE, SBM Offshore, SETEC, SOCIETE GENERALE, TMC France PACA, VOLT

(see LOGOs and links below), Alumni from Schools partners, juniors and seniors PM to have open discussions during dedicated Workshops.

Give opportunity to students to meet with Human Resources responsible from various Companies and share their resume during “speed recruiting” sessions and discuss about Internships, temporary or full time jobs PM related.

Give opportunity to Partner Companies to discover annd attract new PM talents
